- Open every day of the week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- From June 27 to August 12, 2026: Open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- However, we will be closed on December 24, 25, and 31, as well as January 1
Ticket prices
- Adult (18+): 175 DKK per person
- Everyone under 18 is always admitted free of charge*
*Children under 15 are only admitted when accompanied by an adult. - Students: 125 DKK per person*
*Upon presentation of a valid student ID - Group (min. 15 adults): 125 DKK per person

Parking at the museum is free.
In addition to regular parking spaces, we also have parking spaces for vehicles for people with disabilities and buses, as well as spaces with charging stations for electric cars.
Food and drink
You may bring your own food
You’re welcome to eat food you’ve brought with you at the museum. There’s space for you inside near our coat room and outside in our outdoor exhibition area, where tables and benches have been set up. You’re not allowed to eat food you’ve brought with you at Café MS Smag.
Table Reservations at Café MS Smag
We have plenty of space in the café, and it’s usually not necessary to reserve a table on weekdays. However, if your group has more than ten people, it’s important to reserve a table in advance. It’s not possible to reserve tables during school breaks.

Take a piece of the experience home with you
In the Fisheries and Maritime Museum’s shop, you’ll find a carefully curated selection of items inspired by the sea, the west coast, and the museum’s stories.
Here you’ll find gifts and fond memories for both children and adults—from teddy bears, nautical toys, and souvenirs to clothing from Lakor, high-quality goods, candy, and delicacies such as premium canned fish from Grøndals.
Stop by the store and take a little something from your visit home with you.
Payment
The museum accepts both Danish kroner, euro (banknotes) and Dankort, Visa, Eurocard, MasterCard, American Express, Diners, JCB and Maestro.
Dogs and Other Pets
Dogs and other pets are welcome at the museum, but only outside in our outdoor exhibition and as long as they are on a leash.
In our outdoor exhibition area, you’ll find our dog parking, which offers leashing stations near water bowls. While your dog relaxes in the shade, you can explore the museum’s indoor areas and the sealarium with peace of mind.
Please remember that you can find bags at the Open Air exhibition to pick up after your dog. We really appreciate it!
Guide dogs and service dogs are allowed everywhere in the museum, as long as they are on a leash.
Closet
We have a coatroom with both shelves for bags and jackets and lockers.
To use the locked lockers, you must pay a deposit of 200 kr., which will be refunded when you return the key.
Discount
The following have free admission:
- Everyone under the age of 18
- Caregivers with a caregiver card issued by the Danish Disability Organizations
- Hjemme-hos/hjemmebaseret indsats: Free access for the companion in working clothes, accompanied by the child to whom the companion is assigned and a parent. Proof of work authorization must be shown.
- Blind people
- People with a valid annual pass
- Press and photographers (by prior arrangement only)
The following can get a discount:
- Students upon presentation of a valid student ID.
- Groups with more than 15 adults get a discount.
- Wheelchair and walker users

Pensioners cannot get a discount.
Photos and Video
It is allowed to take photos and video for private use.
If you want to take photos and video for commercial use, you must have a prior agreement. Contact us at kontakt@musvest.dk for more information.
Access Conditions
It’s easy to visit the museum, even if you have difficulty walking or use a wheelchair. Wherever there are stairs, there are also elevators, wheelchair lifts, or ramps. Paths have also been laid out in the outdoor exhibition area. However, it may be difficult to enter all of the buildings.
You’re welcome to bring your guide dog or service dog with you when you visit the museum, as long as they’re on a leash.
