Discover the ocean's most fascinating animals!

Where is an octopus's brain located, what does its mouth look like, and how does it actually shoot ink?

In this educational programme, your students will have the opportunity to study one of the ocean’s most fascinating animals up close. Together, we’ll explore the octopus’s unique anatomy, lifestyle, and incredible ability to adapt to life in the ocean.

All the students' senses are engaged when they work in pairs to dissect and examine a ten-armed octopus and identify organs such as gills, the ink sac, eyes, and beak.

This course puts theory into practice and gives your students a fascinating experience that is sure to stick in their minds!

The lessons are tailored to the grade level and academic level and are particularly well-suited for middle school and for introductory biology instruction in upper elementary school.

This dissection can be usefully applied in teaching the following subjects:

• Anatomy and physiology
• Adaptation and evolution
• Animal groups and biodiversity
• Food dhains and marine ecosystems
• The scientific method
