A herring reveals more than you might think—and you'll discover that when we dissect a herring together and take a closer look at the structure of its body.

Our instructor will guide you through the entire dissection, but you'll be handling the herring yourselves.

We’ll take a closer look at the fish’s external characteristics and examine what lies beneath the scales, where we’ll explore the herring’s internal organs and their functions.

Along the way, you'll learn more about how herring move, what they eat—and how they avoid being eaten themselves.
